Sepolia is the main Ethereum testnet. Getting Sepolia ETH is straightforward but faucets have rate limits and auth requirements. Here are the best options in order of reliability.
Option 1 — Google Cloud Web3 Faucet (recommended)
The most reliable option as of 2026. Requires a Google account but has no mainnet balance requirement.
- Go to cloud.google.com/application/web3/faucet/ethereum/sepolia
- Sign in with a Google account.
- Paste your Sepolia wallet address.
- Receive 0.05 ETH per request.
Rate limit: once every 24 hours per Google account.
Option 2 — Alchemy Sepolia Faucet
Requires an Alchemy account (free tier is enough).
- Create an account at alchemy.com.
- Go to the Sepolia faucet at
alchemy.com/faucets/ethereum-sepolia. - Paste your address and request.
Note: Alchemy often requires a small mainnet ETH balance on the requesting address to reduce abuse.
Option 3 — Infura Faucet
Similar to Alchemy — account required, some rate limits apply. Good fallback if Alchemy is throttling.
When all faucets are rate-limited
If you hit limits across multiple faucets:
- Ask in the Ethereum Stack Exchange — the community often helps.
- Use a fresh wallet address (rate limits are per-address on some faucets).
- Check the Faucets section on this site for current status of each provider.
Verify your balance
Once you have requested, verify your balance with:
cast balance <YOUR_ADDRESS> --rpc-url https://rpc.sepolia.org
Or paste your address into sepolia.etherscan.io.
